Vince McMahon Was Reportedly Furious About ALL ELITE WRESTLING Being Mentioned On RAW

This week, we've seen a lot of conflicting reports about whether Vince McMahon said it was okay for Sami Zayn to reference All Elite Wrestling but it's now said that the WWE Chairman was left fuming...

Just two days after All Elite Wrestling's Double or Nothing PPV blew wrestling fans away, WWE referenced the show during an "Electric Chair" segment with Sami Zayn on RAW. There have been conflicting stories about whether he was given the green light to say that but Wrestling Observer Radio's Bryan Alvarez has now weighed in on the matter.

Apparently Vince McMahon wasn't happy but seeing as it's no secret that RAW is sometimes being written while it's on the air, it probably won't surprise you to learn that this mention somehow slipped throughout the cracks of what was another disorganised episode.

"What I know for sure is Sami was under the impression that he was supposed to say that line," Alvarez reveals. "He did not go into business for himself. He did not decide that it would be something edgy. He was told that the line was okay. By the time Raw went on the air, that line was not okay and however things happened, they happened but Vince was absolutely furious that the line made television. He did talk to Sami Zayn afterward. I don’t know what was discussed but that’s the story of what happened on Monday."

This sums up the creative problems in WWE to a tee and it's crazy something as big as this could have been missed.

With another "Electric Chair" segment reportedly scheduled for Monday's episode, we can probably expect what was a mostly unscripted segment to be watched closely by Vince.
