We May Know Why Finn Balor Dropped The IC Title To Shinsuke Nakamura At EXTREME RULES

Not to mention why he was beaten on Raw in just a couple of minutes by Samoa Joe. No, Balor is not in the bad books (at least, as far as we know), but according to a new report he is taking some time off.

Although it was great to see Shinsuke Nakamura back at the top of his game, many were surprised that Finn Balor dropped the Intercontinental Championship to him at Extreme Rules after a relatively short and underwhelming run.

Well, turns out there may be a very good reason for this.

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the Irishman has asked WWE for some time off to "recharge," and his hiatus is expected to begin in August, just after SummerSlam. This may also explain why Samoa Joe defeated him with ease on Raw and why he's being lined up as the returning Bray Wyatt's first opponent.

When Balor does return, let's hope Vince and co. has something interesting for him to do. Who wouldn't want to see The Demon inject some dark energy into The Club, for example?
