PWInsider is reporting that several high-ranking WWE officials met with Impact Wrestling officials at WWE HQ in Stamford, CT last week.

Impact was represented by Scott D'Amore and Ed Nordholm. Vince McMahon was not at the meeting but select members of Triple H's team were there. The meeting took place during the middle of last week as Impact officials were returning from UK, headed to Mexico City for TV tapings.

The meeting was said to be a warming up between the two companies, as there were reportedly no negotiations taking place. WWE and Impact Wrestling have worked with each other in the past, most notably when footage of AJ Styles' time in TNA was shown during an episode of table for 3 and the Broken Universe was featured on The latest Hardy Boyz DVD.

An Impact source stressed that the meeting had nothing to do with the sale of the company or its video library as neither are on the market.
