Smackdown superstar Xavier Woods agreed to a showdown with Kenny Omega in the Capcom Booth at E3 this year. The two superstars will compete in Street Fighter, a game the two have been trash talking about recently on Twitter. Street Fighter’s official Twitter handle announced the match will take place on June 14 during E3.

According to WWE, it will be a 3-on-3 challenge meaning both superstars will have two partners a piece. The partners have not yet been announced. Each man is fairly confident heading into the challenge.

Both Xavier Woods and Kenny Omega recently appeared in a trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter 5: arcade Edition. You can watch Omega and Woods go at it on Capcom Fighters next Thursday.

The most interesting aspect of this is that WWE is actually promoting this showdown between the two stars. It was heavily speculated that Kenny Omega was going to be in the Royal Rumble back in 2017 (despite his contract not ending till the end of the month), but obviously, Omega never left New Japan.

Does WWE still have interest in Kenny Omega? It would surprise no one that if they did. However, Omega has stated in previous interviews why he’s yet to sign with the company.
