It feels like it's been a while since WWE released any talent but we've learned today that Baron Corbin, Tegan Nox, and Indi Hartwell have all departed the company.

Corbin was reportedly informed that his contract will not be renewed when it ends, with Nox and Hartwell released and free to work elsewhere starting 90 days from now. No additional releases are expected, though this news has taken many fans by surprise.

Vince McMahon arguably ruined Corbin's career by making him an authority figure a few years ago. Not only did that drive off viewers, but it soured fans on him to the point where he was never able to fully recover.

Despite a stint in NXT which saw him team with Bron Breakker went some way in turning things around, pairing him with Apollo Crews on the main roster didn't have the same impact. It's believed his deal runs to the end of 2024 and he'll then be a free agent.

Nox has been absent from WWE programming since her last match on the April 1 episode of RAW. Saddled with a plucky babyface gimmick, the Welsh Superstar wasn't ever really given a chance to shine.

As for Hartwell, despite it appearing as if she'd learned of her release on social media, we've heard that wasn't the case. There's also a fair bit of disappointment with the company that WWE didn't allow her to take advantage of recent TV appearances to see if she could build a rapport with fans.

Last night's SmackDown was taped last week and so she was featured on that teaming with Candice LeRae against Bayley and Naomi.

It's never nice to see talent released but there are only so many spots on the WWE roster. We're sure these three will find great success outside of the company, though, and will keep you updated on what comes next for them.

Corbin, Nox, and Hartwell have all issued brief statements on their respective releases which you can watch below.

Honestly I'm not surprised that Corbin has gone, although I am still disappointed.
Given the right push I think he could have done brilliantly... the sad Corbin storyline could have been such an epic redemption arc! when JBL dumped him, I would have loved to see Farooq come in and mentor him instead, giving us a newer version of the APA, but alas it wasn't meant to be.

I feel like Corbin is similar to Ziggler, they worked well in the ring with pretty much everyone, but just never got the full chance.
