WWE Reportedly Has No Interest In Bringing Back Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio was in WWE for thirteen years before deciding to try his luck elsewhere and he's since been making a killing on the independents. Rumours have persisted that he might return to the company, though, and that's despite the fact that the smallest WWE Champion ever is now 42 years old and has suffered a lot of injuries to his knees.

Well, it appears as if we can forget that happening for the time being as Sports Illustrated reports that WWE doesn't want to bring Mysterio back and part of the reason for that is because he has Konnan representing him. That's because of issues between Vince McMahon and Konnan back in 2013 but WWE wasn't using him much when he was under contract two years ago anyway so why bring him back now?

So, what's next for Mysterio? A Hall of Fame induction at some point seems likely but GFW would be a good for him given the limited schedule working for them involves. We'll just have to wait and see but we can probably forget about a return to in ring action in the next few years. Then again, would you really want to see him return and get lost in that awful cruiserweight division?
