It's been revealed that Shane McMahon was one of two people involved in an emergency crash landing of a helicopter yesterday morning. He's fine, but the chopper initially went down in the waters off Gilgo Beach, New York and emergency responders picked the duo up and returned them to the shore safely shortly after.

"I would like to thank our pilot, Mario, who did a heroic job of landing us safely in the water, the Suffolk County Marine Bureau who were first on the scene, all the lifeguards who came out to assist us and the Fire Island Coast Guard station,” McMahon said in a statement following his near miss in what was surely a terrifying few minutes for him. However, don't expect him to miss any time away from WWE as a result of this.

"Everyone is safe and sound,” he added. “I look forward to seeing everyone at WWE Battleground in Philadelphia this Sunday.”

As horrible as this must have been, it's probably one of the least dangerous things to have ever happened to Shane when you think back to him being suplexed through glass and jumping off a Hell in a Cell! Still, we're glad he's ok and you can actually watch footage from the rescue below.
