So yeah, Shinsuke Nakamura was bitten by a police dog last night.

We previously reported that The Artist had to drop out of tonight's US title match against Jeff Hardy on SmackDown LIVE due to injury, but an update from Dave Meltzer paints a slightly different picture.

"PWInsider.com reports that the dog was being brought around the building as part of a pre-show security check. The dog sniffed Nakamura and allegedly bit him on the leg without provocation. Nakamura was pulled from the Bakersfield show and was backstage at Smackdown but was said to still be very sore."

We've heard it all now! Perhaps WWE can find a way to work the dog into an angle?
