AEW made its UK debut last August with the All In PPV. Held in London's Wembley Stadium, the event is believed to have attracted somewhere between 70,000 and 80,000 fans (the final figure was likely much closer to the former).
It was a huge success but WWE's rise has contributed greatly to AEW's fall and, over the past year, interest in the company has declined significantly.
The novelty of this being AEW's first UK show has also worn off and the product isn't as over as it was this time last year; that's led to a steep drop in interest, and Wembley has only been set up to hold around 50,000 fans later this month; there are also plenty of tickets available.
Perhaps in response to this, AEW has decided to hold All In 2025 in Arlington, Texas, the first time the company has held a show in the state. As with last year's show, that should go some way in helping ticket sales but what does this mean for London?
"Last year, we debuted at AEW All In at Wembley Stadium in London," AEW President Tony Khan said at a press conference yesterday. "We set the world record for pro wrestling attendance, we sold 81,035 tickets. We built a very special brand. Of course, we will be going back just 10 days from now to Wembley Stadium and celebrating All In 24 and we can’t wait to bring All In 25 here. It’s going to be very special."
"We’re going to London next week, then coming to Texas, we’ll be going back to London in 2026, but coming here for this event, it’s very special. It does mark our first pay-per-view event ever in Texas. It also marks AEW’s first stadium show ever in America."
If and when AEW does return to London in 2026 with All In, we'd imagine it will be in an arena rather than a stadium. This move may also confirm rumours that, following Triple H's meeting with London Mayor Sadiq Khan, SummerSlam will return to Wembley next summer.
Here's the full press release about All In's move to Texas next year.
