Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite (January 7, 2026), taking place at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, will air starting at 8 p.m. on TBS and HBO Max.
This post will be updated throughout the evening to reflect live coverage of all the important information, noteworthy things that transpire, winners for all the match results, recaps of promo/talking segments and more. Keep refreshing for the most up-to-date results!
Preview & Predictions for AEW Dynamite:
On tap for tonight's episode, the big hook (no pun intended) is the Lights Out match between The Opps and Adam Page and Swerve Strickland. Since it is Hook and Powerhouse Hobbs in that bout, I expect them to lose, as they're supplemental to Samoa Joe.
Shelton Benjamin has an eliminator match (I hate that name concept, as it doesn't "eliminate" someone, but it rather sets if that person becomes No. 1 contender, so it should be the old school #1 contender's match or something along those lines) against Jon Moxley. As per those rules, it is non-title, but if he wins, he gets a title shot. Moxley beat his last "eliminator" opponent, so he'll likely do the same again here.
Bandido is being built up for his Maximum Carnage match against MJF (who will appear tonight), so he's being fed Sammy Guevara. Easy pick there.
Flip a coin when it comes to The Demand against Jack Perry and JetSpeed, and I'm not sure where they're going with Toni Storm against Marina Shafir, either, as that could also go either way.
There will also be a celebration for Willow Nightingale having won the TBS Championship last week.
Jim Ross is expected to return to the commentary booth, since this is in Oklahoma, but I'd imagine that's not going to be for the whole broadcast. He'll probably be for the second hour or even less.
Here are your results for AEW Dynamite - January 7, 2026:
- JetSpeed has apparently been attacked by Jake Doyle (formerly TNA Wrestling's Jake Something), so Jack Perry will have some other teammates tonight.
- Eliminator Match: AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley defeated Shelton Benjamin by pinfall.
- Trios Match: Jungle Jack Perry and The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson) defeated The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) by pinfall. After the match, The Don Callis Family attacked, alongside newcomers to the group Jake Something and the returning Andrade. FTR then came out to the ramp to stare them down.
- Celebration: Willow Nightingale (accompanied by Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander, interviewed by Renee Paquette) spoke about Willow's TBS title win and being tag team champions. Mercedes Mone interrupted to try to spoil the party, but ended up being smashed into the cake.
- Mark Briscoe is looking to whoop someone, and since Hechicero is the next challenger, he's going to
- Bandido defeated Sammy Guevara. After the match, MJF came out to try to convince Bandido to just forfeit his title match and the Dynamite Diamond Ring in favor of him agreeing to a title match on pay-per-view in 5 to 10 years. Naturally, Bandido shut up MJF in response.
- Brody King was given a vignette about how he doesn't need to be a screaming giant to get his point across and he's coming for the throne. If Bandido wins the title next week (which he won't), King gets the first title shot.
- "Timeless" Toni Storm defeated Marina Shafir by disqualification due to interference from Wheeler Yuta. Shafir took out Storm after the match, as well as Mina Shirakawa. Luther, Roderick Strong, and Orange Cassidy then came out to run off Shafir, Yuta, and Daniel Garcia. Claudio Castagnoli almost restarted the fight, but backed off as well.
- PAC continues to deny Darby Allin a match, so Allin sprayed him with a fire extinguisher, hit him with his skateboard, and threatened to break his ankle until PAC agreed.
- Lights Out Match: "Hangman" Adam Page and Swerve Strickland defeated The Opps (Hook & Powerhouse Hobbs) by submission.
