ALL ELITE WRESTLING Decimated NXT In The Wednesday Night Ratings This Week

AEW has been beating NXT in the ratings since the beginning, of course, but this week the fledgling promotion left WWE's black and gold brand in the dust with a surprise-filled episode of Dynamite...

All Elite Wrestling beating NXT in the ratings is hardly news at this stage, but this Wednesday's episode of Dynamite utterly annihilated the black and gold brand.

Dynamite drew 932,000 viewers, while NXT dropped to 542,000. The only other time we've seen such a disparity was for the January 1 episodes when Dynamite pulled in 967,000 to NXT’s 458,000. There's no mystery here: Dynamite featured live matches and advertised a big debut, while NXT was basically a recap show with some new interviews.

We can probably expect both shows to continue without live crowds for several weeks at least, although AEW has provided some atmosphere by having other wrestlers cheer/boo at ringside.

Did you check out Dynamite and NXT this week? If so, which did you prefer? Let us know in the comments.
