We officially have our first participant in the Casino Ladder match at Double or Nothing, as Darby Allin will get an opportunity to fight for a chance to become the next contender for the AEW World Championship.

Since making his way into AEW last year, the 28-year-old has made a big impact within the promotion thanks to his tremendous performances against big names such as Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, and Cody Rhodes. Allin has only received one opportunity at the AEW World Championship, which was a Street Fight against Chris Jericho. The AEW star put up one hell of a fight against the wrestling veteran, who ended up cheating to beat Allin.

Now, in a match that suits the daredevil style of the AEW star, Allin will get an opportunity to receive a future title shot against the reigning AEW World Champion. Currently, Allin is ranked #5 in All Elite Wrestling men’s division. His loss to Cody Rhodes in the Quarterfinal of the TNT Championship tournament had dropped him to the fifth spot in the rankings.

Here’s the updated card for Double or Nothing on May 23:

AEW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Brodie Lee

TNT CHAMPIONSHIP: Cody vs. Lance Archer

Maxwell Jacob Friedman vs. Jungle Boy

CASINO LADDER MATCH FOR AN AEW WORLD TITLE SHOT: Darby Allin vs. More TBA
