Dustin Rhodes Says He'll Retire If He Can't Beat Kip Sabian This Wednesday On AEW DYNAMITE

This week’s AEW Dynamite could be the final time that we see former WWE Intercontinental Champion Dustin Rhodes inside a wrestling ring.

In a preview teasing the next episode of “Road To”, the wrestling veteran makes it clear that if he can’t beat Kip Sabian in the first round of the TNT Championship tournament, then he’ll retire from professional wrestling:

The 51-year-old has been wrestling for over three decades, as his career spans from WCW (World Championship Wrestling), WWE, TNA/Impact Wrestling, and even All Japan Wrestling. The artist formerly known as Goldust has feuded with the best talents in the business, namely Steve Austin, Ted DiBiase, and Razor Ramon, and managed to win several big championships such as the WCW United States Heavyweight title and of course, the Intercontinental Championship.

However, ever since making the official transition to All Elite Wrestling, the veteran hasn’t been able to capture the same magic that has gained him prestigious belts in the past. Rhodes surely gives it his all every time he steps into the ring, but he’s managed to lose against top tier talents like Jake Hager, Sammy Guevara, and even his brother Cody.

With the stakes increased for the TNT Championship Tournament match-up, will Dustin Rhodes be able to step up and beat “Superbad” Kip Sabian? Of course, the 27-year-old weighed in on the veteran threatening to retire if he loses on Wednesday:
