Another female in AEW will be out of action.

It was first reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that Kris Statlander suffered an injury during her tag team match with Hikaru Shida, Penelope Ford, and Nyla Rose. The AEW star confirmed the news herself, stating that the high grade ACL tear occured following her dive against “Superbad” Kip Sabian:

As previously stated, Statlander will need surgery, though a timetable is still unknown. Statlander’s injury comes weeks after Dr. Britt Baker suffered an anterior lateral tibial fracture, a partial lateral collateral ligament tear and a small degree tendon tear. The 29-year-old is still prominently featured on AEW and will make her return at All Out.

This is a blow to AEW as Statlander is also one of the heavily featured stars of the women’s division. There’s no word on whether the company is forced to change any upcoming plans involving the AEW star. It originally appeared that Statlander would be feuding against Baker; however, Baker’s injury scrapped a match between the two and Statlander has simply been competing on Dynamite over the last couple of weeks.
