Are The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega reuniting?
Since Kenny Omega made his return earlier last week, there’s been one question that the fans have asked - will The Elite reunite? That didn’t seem possible earlier this year since the Bucks and Omega have been on opposite sides fighting. However, that’s changed in recent weeks.
There’s been a couple of teases here and there including WrestleDream where Omega confronted the Bucks as they were leaving Jurassic Express by their lonesome as they were being attacked by The Don Callis Family. It’s clear that they’re heading into that direction and it’s quite possible that it would be for the last time.

“That’s an interesting question. Great question, because right now it feels like it is just the two of us. So why even call it The Elite at this point? I think that changes on a weekly basis. We would like it to be a thing, but right now it doesn’t feel like it fits the character that we’re portraying, being the center of a group. I feel like the two of us, just as the Young Bucks, fit better with what we’re doing, because we can’t have Okada not have an entrance. He’s too cool, you know what I mean? So that’s where that’s at at this moment, that could change later on,” said Nick.
Matt added, “I think that there’s always a chance to bring it back. It is All Elite Wrestling, and I think that it’s in the DNA. It would be silly, you know, not to give the audience maybe one last reunion run. I’m not saying that’s gonna happen, but it would be, I think, silly to not do it before we call it quits, before Kenny calls it quits, before Hangman calls it quits. Or, you know, whoever, or maybe it would just be the original Elite, you know, the three. I think that there’s money in it, and I think it would be ridiculous not to revisit it at least one more time.”
Nicholas is 36 and Matthew is 40, so it wouldn’t be too crazy to assume that retirement is near for the Young Bucks. The former AEW World Tag Team Champions signed new contracts with AEW in 2023, so they won’t be going anywhere anytime soon, but it’s crazy that the retirement talk is being discussed where it feels that the Bucks are just getting started.
But The Young Bucks have been in wrestling for over 20 years. From Ring of Honor, TNA, New Japan, and of course, AEW, these guys have been entertaining fans for decades. The Bucks haven’t given a retirement date just yet, but they certainly have drummed up the conversation lately.
