Despite being advertised to make his big debut, there was no sign of former New Japan and WWE star Lance Archer on last night's episode of AEW Dynamite, and now we may know why.

According to Dave Meltzer, it was simply a matter of the powers that be changing their minds about the creative and holding off on introducing the heavy-hitter to the All Elite faithful. This makes sense, because there are quite a few big debuts planned and they likely want to space them out as much as possible.

Jake "The Snake" Roberts showed up last night and teased a new client, so that could well be Lance. Then again, there's always a chance it's Brodie Lee (FKA Luke Harper) or even Matt Hardy.

Meltzer also noted that Nick Jackson wasn’t on the show because his wife is going to have a baby any day now, and Kenny Omega apparently broke his finger during his tag-match at Revolution - although he's not expected to be out for much longer.
