AEW has stacked World’s End with some intriguing matches. The return of the AEW special features five championship matches. This prediction list will only focus on the main show matches. Let’s get started with the biggest match at the show.

Fatal Four-Way For The AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Orange Cassidy vs. “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Jay White

There’s a slim chance that Jay White could end up winning this match by pinning either Cassidy or Page. However, it would be a short title reign because the whole Death Rider story has just started. Realistically, it doesn’t make much sense to take the title off of Moxley this early. But Tony Khan made an unnecessary four way match that involves a man who is fresh off two straight high profile losses.

Even if this match swerves the audience by giving White or Cassidy the win then it would be a hollow victory since they didn’t do it one-on-one. Of course, they can rectify that by having White or Cassidy get a clean victory over Moxley at a later date but if that does happen, then why did AEW waste time with this story if it wasn’t going anywhere?

It’s possible that the title changing hands means they understand that the Death Rider story just isn’t working, but I don’t see anyone other than Moxley retaining here.

Winner: Jon Moxley

Continental Classic Semi-Final: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Ricochet

On paper, this screams an easy Okada win, but two factors actually favor Ricochet.

  1. Ricochet is fresh off his heel turn and AEW may want to double down on it by having him cheat to beat Okada.
  2. Okada doesn’t have much going on in terms of feuds. AEW oddly dropped the Konosuke Takeshita rivalry, so there’s not much personal connection to any of these men. Of course, Will Ospreay has his New Japan past against Okada, but the match isn’t at the level of Okada/Omega. Ricochet/Ospreay has more story and it fits into the redemption arc that the former International Champion is going through.

After all of this, I’m leaning towards Okada for the win. Ricochet will be fine as AEW has been building a feud between him and Swerve Strickland. Plus, it’s better to save Ospreay vs. Ricochet III for a later date.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Continental Classic Semi-Final: Will Ospreay vs. Kyle Fletcher

This match is a bit tricker. While it seems that Ospreay will avenge his loss to Fletcher at Full Gear, it feels too early for him to get his revenge. Plus, Kyle Fletcher beat Okada. It would be a shame if nothing came out of that win.

An argument can be made for why Ospreay should win, but AEW would be wise to hold off on the former International Champion getting one over on Fletcher. AEW has done a decent job of pushing Fletcher since Full Gear, so solidifying his Full Gear win would be a great statement about his future. Even if that win comes by heel shenanigans this time.

Winner: Kyle Fletcher

Kazuchika Okada vs. Kyle Fletcher

Okada hasn’t done much with the Continental Championship. That’s all on booking since Tony Khan doesn’t really seem to know what to do with him. However, with Kenny Omega set to return, there’s been rumors that Okada and the former AEW World Champion will feud once again. That seed was planted when Okada and The Elite attacked Omega earlier this year.

AEW has been going strong with Kyle Fletcher, but I think this tournament is about proving why Okada is one of the best in the world. Plus, it would be smarter booking if he came into the Omega rivalry with some momentum. There’s always the possibility that Omega may cause some type of distraction that allows Fletcher to get the win. But I feel Okada will avenge his loss and continue on as the Continental Champion.

Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Dynamite Diamond Ring: MJF vs. Adam Cole (with Matt Taven and Mike Bennett)

Unfortunately, I can see a scenario where Taven and Bennett turn on Cole. I hope not. I like MJF. I like Adam Cole. I like Matt Taven and Mike Bennett. I hate this feud. Sorry, don’t mean to be too negative here, but this feud has been ice cold since it restarted for no good reason. AEW has to know that this feud just isn’t clicking, so I imagine that they would want to end this as soon as possible.

Technically, Adam Cole is the babyface in this rivalry. At least I think he is. I imagine Cole will get the win over MJF. With Taven and Bennett out there, shenanigans are to be expected. Cole could be a possible title contender for Moxley in early 2025. Whereas I don't really know where MJF goes from here. It would be too early to turn him face again if the plan is Moxley. MJF’s 2025 is certainly an interesting one.

Hopefully, this ends up being a mostly clean match where there’s no controversy over the win. It would benefit all parties involved if they moved onto a different feud heading into 2025. I say Cole will get the most value out of beating MJF here, though I wouldn’t be surprised if a screwjob happened either.

Winner: Adam Cole

AEW International Championship match: Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

Had this match been around Revolution or Double or Nothing then I would've picked Hobbs. But, it feels way too early to take the belt off Takeshita and this feud doesn’t have the steam behind it where a title change would be necessary.

I just hope that Hobbs (if he loses) is given something to do after World’s End. I’m nervous because he’s been barely featured on Dynamite since his return and this story between him and Don Callis really should’ve been built up better. Is it possible for Hobbs to win at World’s End? Of course, but Tony Khan seems to be high on the Don Callis family at the moment.

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Kris Statlander

Another tricky match. Mone got a clean and decisive win over Statlander at Full Gear, so it’s surprising that they came back to this so soon. Mone is at the point where it’s time for her to drop the belt. However, Kris Statlander has already been TBS Champion so it’s not necessary for her to have it again right now.

Her story just hasn’t built any fan fare to support a title change. But having Statlander lose again would damage her a bit. Honestly, I don’t know where either woman goes from here. There’s Kamille for Mercedes, but I’m even skeptical that the feud will happen. It’s possible that Kamille returns and costs Mone the TBS title. Then that can spin off to Kamille vs. Mone while Statlander goes on as a babyface champion.

Winner: Kris Statlander

Tijuana Street Fight for the AEW Women’s World Championship: Mariah May (c) vs. Thunder Rosa

Mariah May is not dropping this title until she feuds with Toni Storm. Combine that with this match feeling pretty random and Thunder Rosa not having much momentum going in, then I feel that this is the easiest match to predict.

Winner: Mariah May
