RIHO RETURNS To AEW After 14 Months To Earn TBS Title Shot For All Out

AEW wrestler Riho has returned to All Elite Wrestling after over a year away and has already earned herself a shot at Mercedes Mone's TBS Championship for AEW All Out 2025.

"Nine Belts" Mercedes Mone retained her AEW TBS Championship over Alex Windsor on tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite. After the match, Windsor offered Mone a handshake, only to get a middle finger from The CEO. Windsor and Mone started fighting some more, and to help make the save once Windsor was locked into a Statement Maker, Riho made her return, running out to scrap with Mone for a moment.

It didn't take long for it to be announced that at AEW All Out, Riho will already just be granted a shot at the TBS Championship in a match against Mone.

Riho has not wrestled for AEW in over a year, with her last match taking place on the July 6, 2024 episode of AEW Collision (wherein she defeated Lady Frost). Prior to that, she had 3 matches at the beginning of the year (one on February 24, 2024 on Rampage against Trish Adora, one on March 6th against Kris Statlander on Dynamite, and the following week in a loss against Willow Nightingale at Big Business) Since she hasn't been seen since the day Mone had her debut, those two have yet to cross paths.

Riho etched herself into All Elite Wrestling history when she became the first-ever AEW women's world champion. She became the inaugural champion on the October 2, 2019 episode of Dynamite after defeating Nyla Rose, who would beat her for the title on February 12, 2020. Since then, Riho has not achieved any particular accolades within AEW, currently sitting at a 72.3% win-loss record of 47 wins over her 65 matches in the company.

AEW All Out will go down at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with its new start time being 3pm ET (likely 1:30pm Zero Hour) to not air at the same time as WWE Wrestlepalooza, which is supposed to air at 7pm ET (and will likely have a pre-show of its own starting at 5pm)

As it stands right now, this is the current lineup for AEW All Out:

  • Tag Team Match: Adam Copeland and Christian Cage vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)
  • Trios Match: The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP) vs. Ricochet and Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona)
  • Singles Match for the AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Moné (c) vs. Riho
