All Elite Wrestling has a new women's world champion as "Timeless" Toni Storm has lost the title in her four-way match against Jamie Hayter, Thekla, and Kris Statlander at AEW All Out 2025.

Heading into this match, Storm was a fighting champion who had held the title for 217 days—not quite as long as her previous run of 281 days beforehand, but far longer than her first two title reigns of 76 and 66 days—defeating game challengers like AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone and ROH Women's World Champion Athena over the past few months. But Storm had reached a point where she was in need of even more of a challenge and decided to stack the deck against herself by having three different opponents at tonight's show who all had enough talent and momentum to walk out with the title.

That is exactly what happened here, as all four battled it out, with different near-falls allowing each wrestler to have a brief moment of nearly obtaining the gold. Ultimately, it came down to a pinning combination from Statlander, catching the champion in an awkward position and putting her weight on her shoulders to keep her down, as opposed to some big knockout blow or dramatic submission.

Statlander also didn't win this title through shenanigans or interference from The Death Riders, after some speculation that she could turn heel and have someone like Marina Shafir or Wheeler Yuta help her win. Yuta was giving her a pep talk at one point, but it was actually Harley Cameron who came out after the match to celebrate with her friend as Toni Storm looked on stunned, in shock of losing her championship in such a quick out of nowhere type pinfall.

This is Statlander's first women's world championship in AEW after previously holding the TBS Championship.

The rest of the night was uneventful regarding title changes, as every other champion held onto their belts, including Brodido retaining the world tag team titles, Mercedes Mone retaining her TBS title, and Kazuchika Okada keeping his AEW Unified Championship.

At the point of this publication, "Hangman" Adam Page has yet to face Kyle Fletcher for the AEW World Championship.

What are your thoughts on Kris Statlander winning this title? Who should eventually beat her for it? Drop a comment below!
