"Unhappy" Andrade Reportedly Walks Out Of Independent Wrestling Show In Tijuana

Former WWE Superstar Andrade is currently unable to work in the United States due to a year-long non-compete clause in his contract. However, a recent appearance in Tijuana reportedly ended poorly...

UPDATE: Andrade has now responded to Meltzer's claims, writing "Fui a la comida china al tal HK" (which translates to something along the lines of him leaving to go get Chinese food...).

We're still not sure what's going on with Andrade. He left WWE completely out of the blue in September, and vague reports later followed about him not parting ways with the company on the best of terms.

Multiple sources claimed that he was fired "with cause" for multiple wellness policy violations. Despite that, he wasted no time in making his AEW return, appearing on the October 1 episode of AEW Dynamite. However, it seems Tony Khan didn't do his due diligence, as WWE had Andrade under a one-year non-compete clause.

He's since vanished from AEW programming, but was able to appear at The Crash's 14th-anniversary show in Tijuana last Friday. He was there to meet fans and sign autographs, and could reportedly do so because his non-compete is limited to the United States.

It's been widely reported that he was also supposed to wrestle at the show, but it seems something happened that led to him walking out.

"Andrade was on the show, probably the main attraction on the show," Dave Meltzer shared. "He was there signing autographs, and then he left. The only thing that we heard was that he was unhappy. His non-compete is only [in the] United States so he can work in Tijuana [and] Mexico City."

It's worth reporting that Andrade previously said this about Meltzer's reporting...

"@davemeltzerWON You talk too much s*** without proof, and Sir, I’ll only tell you one thing: when my contract with AEW ended, I personally went man to man to thank MR. TONY KHAN for the opportunity to be in AEW, and that’s all I’ll tell you," he wrote. "If I wanted to talk more, I would show you that you’re wrong about many things. But you keep killing the business! Yo le deseo lo mejor!!"

It's hard to predict what the future holds in store for Andrade and when, or indeed if, we'll see him in an AEW ring again. If he is dealing with substance issues (the alleged reason for his WWE release), then we can only wish him all the best.
