According to a report from
TMZ, the Smackdown Live superstar was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction near downtown Detroit. Police say they stopped Jimmy’s wife, Naomi, due to the former Smackdown women’s champion driving down a one-way street in the wrong direction.
Once their 2018 Dodge Journey was pulled over, the cops noticed the smell of alcohol inside the car and ordered Naomi to step out of the vehicle. While she was cooperating with the police, Jimmy allegedly got out of the car and took off his shirt and jacket, squaring up to fight. An officer reportedly took out his taser, worried for his safety, but did not deploy it. Jimmy ended up complying with the cops before further incident. He was taken to jail and later posted bond.
WWE released a statement on the arrest, saying,
"Jonathan Fatu is responsible for his own personal actions". There’s no word on if there’s heat on Jimmy Uso, who will be challenging The Miz and Shane McMahon for the SmackDown Tag Team Titles this Sunday at WWE Elimination Chamber with his brother Jey.
