AXS TV Announces That They Will Be Broadcasting The WOMEN OF WRESTLING Promotion Soon

AXS TV, which is the home of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, will be adding another wrestling promotion to their channel, as WOW (Women of Wrestling) will be airing on the network soon. Read here for more details.

AXS TV, which is the current home of New Japan Pro-Wrestling, announced this week that they are partnering with WOW-Women of Wrestling, Jeanie Buss, the original GLOW Founder David McLane and MGM Television to broadcast WOW events.

The promotion launched in 2000 using a format of character driven performers, with names mirroring a comic book series, such as Jungle Grrrl, an inmate tag-team complete with orange jump suits named Caged Heat, a Hollywood starlet named Lana Star, and The Temptress, which is the former Katie Lea Burchill from the WWE and current on-screen girlfriend of Grado in Impact Wrestling.

AXS TV will start recording WOW events in Los Angeles later this year, for broadcast beginning in early 2019. Information on the date, venue and ticket sales has yet to be announced. Check out the trailer below:
