The question of CM Punk possibly returning to professional wrestling will always be asked to the former WWE champion.
Punk has been adamant about never returning to wrestling since leaving the WWE back in 2014, but it’s clear that the “Straight Edge” superstar still has a fondness for the business based off his recent stint at a indie show that saw him interfere in a match and hit the G.T.S, though Punk has yet to confirm that was indeed him.
Since that moment, the rumors and speculation flared up again and with All Elite Wrestling set to launch later on this year, does the former WWE champion have interest in joining the all-new promotion? Speaking with
MMAFighting, Punk actually says “Yes” and details that he will always listen to what The Young Bucks have to offer:
“I would always listen,” he said.
“I would listen to them because just like Dave, I like the Young Bucks, I text with Matt on and off. But business is business.”
Punk does state that pro wrestling isn’t on his radar, but The Bucks can always call him up and make an offer:
“It’s a nice thing to be able to do and just kind of float and hang out and if somebody wants to pick up the phone like Dave Sholler did and call me up and say, ‘Hey, we really think you’d be good at this and we want you to be a part of your company,’ (The Bucks) can call me up and make an offer. That has remained to be seen. Pro wrestling is not on my radar.”
This will no doubt fuel the fire on Punk returning to the squared circle, but the true question is, will All Elite Wrestling make an offer that the former WWE champion can’t simply refuse?
