In their first-ever one-on-one encounter, IWGP United States Champion Jon Moxley proved that he was better than IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito on Day 10 of the G1 Climax.

The match-up started with Naito playing mind games with Moxley such as throwing his pants at the IWGP US Champion. Moxley wasn’t looking to deal with Naito’s games and instantly started brawling with the Los Ingobernables de Japon leader.

The fight traveled throughout the arena with Moxley getting the best of the IWGP Intercontinental Champion; however, when Moxley grabbed a chair, the referee took it away from him. This distraction was long enough for Natio to throw another chair at the IWGP US Champion.

Naito was able to work over Moxley for a bit until a lariat derailed the IWGP Intercontinental Champion's momentum. The bout then became a back-and-forth fight between the two champions, with Moxley connecting with Dirty Deeds (Snapmare Driver) at one point and Naito nailing Destino at another.

In the end, Moxley was able to put away the IWGP Intercontinental Champion for a three count with the Death Rider within 17 minutes. Jon Moxley remains undefeated in the G1 Climax tournament thus far, as his score is a perfect 5-0 (10 points), whereas Testsuya Naito’s record is 2-3 (4 points).
