The MLW World Heavyweight Champion won’t be leaving anytime soon.

The promotion announced that the CONTRA Unit member has signed a long-term deal, though the exact length of his new contract is still unknown. It was reported earlier in the year that both WWE and All Elite Wrestling were indeed interested in the MLW World Heavyweight Champion, though it's not known whether either promotion sent out feelers to Fatu before he re-signed.

The MLW World Heavyweight Champion made his debut for the company back in February 2019 with the CONTRA Unit, and it didn’t take long for Fatu to win the top prize of the promotion, as he defeated Tom Lawlor on July 6 In Chicago to capture the belt. The CONTRA Unit consists of Josef Samuel, Ikuro Kwon, and former WWE superstar, Simon Gotch.
