MJF and Adam Page were the last men standing at the end of last week's battle royal, and went head-to-head this week on AEW Dynamite for the right to... add some bling to their finger.
Freedman had Wardlow with him, and it was only a matter of time before he got involved. Sure enough, when The Hangman hit his Buckshot Lariat and went for the pin, the big man put MJF's foot on the rope. After following that up with a stiff punch, "the face of AEW" hit his version of Cody's CrossRhodes (the Double-Cross?) for the 3-count.
Afterwards, DDP came out to present the diamond ring to MJF, who completely disrespected the Hall of Famer. A shoving match with Wardlow followed before officials entered the ring to keep all three men apart.
Could this be teasing a return to the ring for the 63-year-old Page? He certainly looks to be in good enough shape, but has said in the past that it's unlikely.
