Since Billy Corgan took over NWA championship wrestling back in 2017, the company has been on an upswing. On December 9, 2017, Aldis defeated Tim Storm at Cage of Death 19 to become the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Aldis has defended against the likes of Tommy Dreamer to the former WWE wrestler James Ellsworth. He’s even defended his title twenty times in a span of sixty days going on the Aldis Crusade since early February.

This past weekend, NWA Champion Nick Aldis retained his title against Colt Cabana in Wenzhou, China.
