In the biggest upset of the night, PCO became the first man to defeat RUSH and capture the ROH World Championship.
The 51-year-old has been exciting fans since debut with the promotion in late 2018, with PCO capturing the ROH World Tag Team and Six-Man Tag Team titles during his run. The Canadian native had a chance at capturing the ROH World title earlier this year; however, he failed to defeat Matt Taven to achieve his dream of being the ROH World Champion.
The main event actually played in PCO’s favor, as the match-up turned into a Friday the 13th No Rules Massacre match. RUSH beat down PCO with nearly everything that wasn’t nailed down, which includes steel chairs, a door (seriously), and the barricade.
That wasn’t enough to stop PCO, who nailed a moonsault through a table and got the three count over the 31-year-old. This is PCO’s first singles title reign in Ring of Honor.
