The Coronavirus continues to have a huge impact on the sports world as Ring of Honor cancelled two pay-per-view shows for this weekend.
First up, the big 18th Anniversary show that featured RUSH defending the ROH World Championship against Mark Haskins, The Briscoes vs. Joe Hendry & Dalton Castle, and a ROH World Television Championship match between Dragon Lee and Bandido will no longer take place tonight.
Also, ROH’s Past vs. Present event on March 14th featuring the one-night returns of Doug Williams, Matt Sydal, Paul London, Xavier, John Walters, and Homicide is also scrapped from Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ring of Honor confirmed the news on their
website citing safety and health concerns in the wake of the coronavirus. At the moment, Supercard of Honor in Lakeland, Florida on April 4 is still scheduled; however, if WWE ends up pushing back WrestleMania 36 then most likely ROH and various independent events will do the same.
