Syko Stu has a long way to go in terms of recovery.
Last weekend was one of the most horrific and disgusting acts in professional wrestling. Stu was working a match and it was agreed upon by him and Raja that the MMA fighter could interfere to get his pay back from an earlier incident when Stu used a gimmick beer can to hit Raja. Unfortunately, Raja took it further by knocking out the wrestler and hitting him with over 20 unanswered punches.
Why Raja Jackson has yet to be arrested remains a mystery, but thankfully, Syko Stu is getting better. Stu has finally been released from the hospital. Him and his wife released a joint statement detailing the injuries Stu suffered and thanking the fans for their generosity.
“He sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER. His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth,” the post said.
It continued: “He has a long road of recovery ahead, but he remains in good spirits despite everything he has been through.
“We are deeply grateful for all the love and support we’ve received during this time.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed in any way – whether through monetary donations, food, flowers, or gifts. Your kindness means more than words can express.”
Despite the long road to recovery, Stu and his family managed to raise over $200,000, which will help with the hospital bills and covers him from being unable to work for a good period of time. It’s unknown when Stu is going to be able to wrestle again, but it’s good that this didn’t turn into a tragedy.
As for any charges on Raja, there’s no update on what’s going on. Raja has remained silent since the incident, though his father Quinton isn't making things easier as he just came out with a statement trying to put more of the blame on Stu. It was a rather bizzare switch up as Jackson first acknowledged his son's wrong doing when the incident first happened. Now, the death threats have gotten the better of the former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion.
Hopefully, Raja is eventually charged for this, though it remains strange that he has yet to be arrested despite the evidence being captured on video.
