Trey Miguel will be making his return very soon!
The TNA star was forced to pull out a wild Ladder match at Slammiversary due to a minor hernia injury that saw Myron Reed step in to compete with Zachary Wentz. However, Miguel released some promising news as he posted on instagram a doctor’s note that cleared him for in-ring action.
Miguel has spent 2025 in TNA wrestling alongside Zachary Wentz as the Rascalz. The duo have challenged for the TNA World Tag Team titles on numerous occasions, but they’ve fallen short for the most part. The former X-Division Champion was notably one of the first exchanges in the TNA/WWE partnership, reuniting with Wes Lee in NXT before he turned on both men.
That spiraled into a full blown feud against their former tag team partner that ended with Lee getting the best of it. Since then, the 31-year-old has been splitting his time in the X-Division and Tag Team division.
For the most part, there’s no word on how much plans changed when Miguel was forced on the sidelines. Though The Rascalz do get prominent matches these days, Wentz and Reed tend to be on the losing end more often than not.
Trey has been quiet for the most part since his injury, though he did talk about his time in NXT with Fightful and he was hyped about wrestling under the WWE banner.
“Growing up, I mean, like, yes, I love TNA. I love TNA through and through. I have TNA branded on my skin for life, right? But from the age of four, I was a WWE fan and like, that’s what made me want to, like, oh my God, I wanted to be a pro wrestler so bad.” He told Fightful. “The moment we got out there and I looked to my left and there’s a big NXT banner and there’s Wes right in front of me.
Knowing that my brother ever wanted to do was see me succeed in this—I’m sorry, I’m getting emotional. But the last thing my brother ever did for me was buy me a ticket to WWE. I’m the youngest. I was the youngest of nine for 16 years, you know what I mean? All my brothers love pro wrestling. I was a baby and like the fact that I like even got in this, I turned a freaking garbage can or a garbage bag taped to the top of a door frame to a stage and to lights into the WWE logo just like I can’t stop living in that moment, man.
To be there with my brothers after like it seemed like it was never possible to even like share a ring and to do it there and then have Wes’s home coming last night—these past two weeks have been the best two weeks of my entire life, bro. I’ve been through so much this year, things that I won’t talk about on here. There’s no need to do that, but I will never give up on pro wrestling just based off on these two weeks. This is actually what dreams are made of.”
Could those dreams come true again during his return? Only time will tell. It would be cool to see him and Wentz (or Reed) help out the tag division in NXT. TNA is having a live episode this Thursday so it wouldn’t be impossible to see him return this week.
