Sadly, All Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Noah star Atsushi Aoki has passed away.

It was first reported by Nikkan Sports that the former World Junior Heavyweight Champion was involved in a motorcycle accident at 10:30PM on June 3rd. The accident happened in the tunnel of the capitol expressway in Tokyo and unfortunately, it was confirmed later that the wrestler passed away due to his injuries.

The wrestling star has been in the business for over ten years, wrestling for various promotions such as Pro Wrestling Noah, AAA, and All Japan Pro Wrestling. His last match was on June 2nd, as he teamed with Hikaru Sato and Yusuke Okada to take on Jake Lee, Koji Iwamoto, and Nobe Bryant, a match-up that his group lost.

Aoki was set to defend the World Junior Heavyweight Championship against Hikaru Sato on June 18. Our condolences go out to his friends and family. Check out some of the statements by several WWE stars regarding the talented wrestler:
