Both The NXT Championship And NXT Women's Championship Will Be Defended Next Week

Two huge matches have been made for next Week's episode of NXT: Charlotte Flair will defend the Women's Championship against Io Shirai, and Adam Cole will put his title on the line against Velveteen Dream.

Next week's episode of NXT is definitely going to be a must-watch, as both of the black and gold brand's main championships will be on the line.

We were sure this match would be saved for the next TakeOver (whenever that's likely to be), but Adam Cole will defend the NXT Championship against The Velveteen Dream next Wednesday on USA. Dream has been heavily touted to defeat the leader of the Undisputed ERA for the title, but will that happen on TV with no crowd in attendance? We doubt it.

We will also see Charlotte Flair defend the NXT Women's Championship against No. 1 contender Io Shirai. After The Queen put Mia Yim away with the Figure-8, The Genius of The Sky made her presence felt, telling Flair that she was coming for her title next week. Charlotte looked concerned, but again, does anyone really believe she'll lose the gold so soon after defeating Rhea Ripley for it at WrestleMania?

Regardless, these should both be terrific matches.

Also scheduled for next week: Johnny Gargano will take on Dominick Dijakovik, and Fin Balor will return to address last week's "incident" which saw some of his clothes thrown around the locker room (he was allegedly attacked/abducted).
