Well, it looks like Johnny Gargano is gone from NXT... or is he?

The mega-popular Superstar failed to pin Andrade "Cien" Almas and capture the NXT Championship tonight, but only because his old tag-team partner got involved, walloping him in the back with his crutch when the ref was down.

Gargano certainly appeared to be done, acknowledging the crowd's farewells and taking his leave with his wife by his side - but surely the powers that be wouldn't miss out on a golden opportunity to book a feud between Johnny Wrestling and Tommaso Ciampa?

There are rumors that Johnny is heading for the main roster soon, so we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out. Let us know what you'd like to see happen in the comments below.
