It was revealed shortly after Finn Balor and Kyle O'Reilly's incredible NXT Championship match at TakeOver 31 that The Prince had broken his jaw in two places and would require surgery. Now, Balor has posted an update to social media, confirming that the operation was a success.

Finn did not have to relinquish the title, and is expected to hold on to it until he heals up and is cleared to return to action. When that will be is not clear, but the usual timeframe to recover from an injury like this is about 6 weeks.

That's not bad at all, especially considering how long some Superstars are forced to sit on the shelf for, and that fact that his jaw didn't need to be wired shut means that he may be able to return to television even if he can't actually compete.

We wish Finn a speedy recovery, and hope to see him back doling out those 1916s very soon.
