Karrion Kross sent out a Tweet before Raw aired last night, fuelling speculation that he and Scarlett might be set to make an appearance on the red brand. Some figured he must have simply got his nights wrong, but as it turns out, the NXT Champion and his Dutchess of Doom did make their presence felt via a promo that aired during the show.

Kross and Scarlett issued a clear warning to The Way following last week's in-ring ambush, with the former promising to hit his opponent for tonight's episode of NXT, Austin Theory, "harder than life itself" (a nice Rocky reference st up by Scarlett at the beginning of the video).

This ominous message comes after Theory and Gargano attacked Kross last week, managing to take him out after a double super-kick. Former champion Finn Balor, Kyle O'Reilly and Pete Dunn are also gunning for the NXT Championship, but we're not sure who will ultimately emerge as the next No. #1 contender.

At any rate, be sure to tune in to NXT tonight to witness what's certain to be an unmerciful beat-down at the hand of the Duke of Doom.
