A few months ago, Lio Rush found himself in hot water when he Tweeted "this is what happens when you're not ready for Asuka" in relation to Emma being released from WWE shortly after her matches with The Empress of Tomorrow.

The ill-advised joke is said to have almost cost the young Superstar his job, but it now looks like NXT has decided to turn the resulting controversy into a storyline.

In the video below, Rush implies that some big changes are coming, and says that "nothing has gone according to plan" since joining NXT:




Where this angle is going is anyone's guess, but Rush is a very talented guy, so hopefully this means he gets to showcase that, at least.
