NXT: Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae Pick Up Big Win Over Damien Priest & Io Shirai Heading Into TAKEOVER

This week's episode of NXT wasn't a particularly eventful one, but we did see Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae gain some major momentum heading into their respective championship matches at TakeOver.

This week's episode of NXT was a little disappointing as far as any major storyline advancements or surprises go, but there was some pretty good in-ring action on display.

Johnny Gargano teamed with Candice LeRae to take on Damien Priest and Io Shirai in the main event, and somewhat surprisingly, Mr. and Mrs. Wrestling pulled out the victory.

The Genius of The Sky landed her moonsalt on Gargano, but because she couldn't make the pin, she tagged in Priest who went to finish his opponent off with The Reckoning. However, with the ref's attention on Io, The Poison Pixie hit a low blow on the Archer or Infamy, allowing her hubbie to hit One Final Beat and pick up the win for his team.

This gives "The Gargano Way" a lot of momentum heading into TakeOver this Sunday, and there's speculation that Johnny and Candice will win their respective title matches to establish themselves as the new power couple of NXT.
