Black and gold brand fans don't seen to be as hyped for tonight's show as they usually would for an NXT TakeOver, and that's perfectly understandable. With the possible exception of the NXT Championship match, there really hasn't been a lot of thought or preparation put into the matches, and almost zero build to what should be the culmination of compelling feuds.
That said, the bouts themselves do have the potential to be really good.
Finn Balor and Kyle O'Reilly are certain to bring the house down, and even though the Undisputed ERA member is unlikely to win the title, there's speculation that we may see a betrayal from one of his stablemates or possibly even the return of Karrion Kross.
Io Shirai and Candice LeRae should also have a strong showing, although, again, a title change seems unlikely here. Likewise Johnny Gargano and Damien Priest, which really appears to have been thrown together last minute.
