NXT: Tomasso Ciampa Returns And Annihilates Jake Atlas, Turning Heel (Again) In The Process

Tomasso Ciampa returned during last night's episode of NXT, along with his infamous ruthless streak.

We haven't seen The Blackheart since he was soundly defeated by Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver: In Your House back in June, and he wasted little time in re-establishing his dominance. Ciampa faced Jake Atlas, and after defeating him after only a couple of minutes with Willow's Bell, he utterly decimated the up-and-comer in a vicious post-match attack.

After first slingshoting Atlas' throat into the ring bar, he hit him with another DDT as he was being wheeled out on a stretcher.

Ciampa has always been at his best as a heel, so this turn was probably inevitable. With Kross on the shelf, could we see him rise to the top of the black and gold brand again as NXT Champion? He'll get his shot next week!

What did you guys make of Ciampa's return? Are you glad that he's a heel again, or do you think he should have continued his face run? Let us know in the usual place.
