VIDEO: Former NXT Champion Bobby Roode Bids Farewell To The Yellow Brand As He Prepares For SMACKDOWN
During a live event in Ontario a couple of nights back, former NXT champion Bobby Roode bid a fond farewell to his the yellow brand as he prepares to continue his glorious career over on Smackdown Live...
Although Bobby Roode actually made his Smackdown Live debut shortly after losing the NXT championship to Drew McIntyre, he still had a feud with Roderick Strong to put to bed, which he did at a recent live show in Ontario.
After the match, The Glorious One addressed the crowd and bid them farewell as he prepares to enter into his first feud on the blue brand.
Roode is currently working as a face on Smackdown, but hopefully that doesn't last long as his current gimmick is far better suited to a heel persona.
In addition, Roode revealed that wrestling for NXT gave him his passion back while chatting to SI.com:
“NXT brought my passion back. I got the chance to work with all the coaches down at the Performance Center and I was able to pick Triple H’s brain too. Also, working with Shawn Michaels was amazing. He’s been very supportive of me and extremely helpful. This past year was really gratifying on many different levels. To come here with the experiences I’ve had and to have the year I’ve had and be looked upon in the locker room as a leader with people coming to me for advice, it’s still surreal to me. There are so many great minds within this company and I’m learning every day. I truly believe that in this business, you can never learn enough, I’ve been in this business for two decades, but the fun is just about to begin.”
