Tommaso Ciampa was injured at an NXT Live event earlier this year. Despite that, he still wrestled alongside Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver: Chicago in a match against the Authors of Pain and when that Ladder Match came to an end, Ciampa attacked Gargano in a moment which left wrestling fans reeling. Unfortunately, he hasn't been seen since and that's because of that injury.

We later learned that he would have to undergo surgery because he'd ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee and it was later confirmed that the procedure was a success.

Well, it's now being reported that Ciampa is expected to return to action as soon as NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia in January before the Royal Rumble takes place the next day. A specific date for Ciampa's NXT return hasn't been revealed but you have to believe that he'll probably start feuding with Gargano almost immediately based on how things were left between the two tag team partners!
