Toni Storm made her WWE debut in 2017 as part of the Mae Young Classic, and later spent a couple of years as the top female star in NXT UK. Now, Storm is part of the main NXT roster, and she's spent most of this year chasing the brand's Women's Championship.
We'll see what happens on that front, but Storm has just dropped a huge announcement on NXT's Instagram page in a post confirming that she is, in fact, bisexual.
"When it was announced that I would be that I was taking over the Instagram for Pride Month, I noticed a lot of people talking. 'Are you an ally in the community?' Well, I guess now is a good time to say 'both.' I’m an ally and I cannot exactly say that I’m straight," Storm explains. "I’m bi and it feels good to say. It’s something that I’ve been really comfortable with for a long time."
"I just never really expressed it, I don’t know. I just never really found the right time and it’s Pride Month and I’m on your Instagram so now’s a good time I guess."
Needless to say, this is great to hear and news that is likely to inspire a lot of wrestling fans out there. We're not anticipating it changing how she's portrayed on TV (there's really no reason why it would), but Storm talking about it on NXT television would be a big step forward for WWE.
