According to Wrestling Inc., HoHo Lun, a competitor in last summer's Cruiserweight Classic and occasional NXT Superstar, has been released by WWE. His inexperience in the ring showed when he took part in that but his status as the owner of Hong Kong's first wrestling promotion ensured that he still made quite the impact.

Lun won his first round match against Ariya Daivari before being eliminated in the second round by Noam Dar. Both of them are now fixtures in RAW's cruiserweight division and on 205 Live.
Lun showed up on one episode of the latter but has mostly appeared on NXT programming including during the 2016 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament.

It remains to be seen what comes next for him but chances are he'll use the notoriety gained from his WWE appearances to now make a killing on the independent scene. He also still has his own promotion back in Hong Kong so a return there seems likely. We'll let you know if a reason for his release is revealed in the next few days.
