Who will challenge Tessa Blanchard for the Impact World Championship?

Unfortunately, Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards are no longer the contenders for the prestigious belt due to the Impact World Champion being unable to make it to the Rebellion taping last week. Now that the two-night special is done, the promotion announced an eight-man tournament to crown a new challenger.

Not surprisingly, former Impact World Champion Sami Callihan is one of the participants in the tournament. Despite dropping the belt to the third-generation star at Hard To Kill, Callihan never got his opportunity to win back the championship. Another former world champion will enter the contest, as Ken Shamrock is confirmed for the tournament as well.

Self-proclaimed TNA World Heavyweight Champion Moose was originally announced for the tournament; however, the 35-year-old pulled himself out of the competition. Rohit Raju was confirmed as his replacement. Former ECW World Champion Rhino, former ROH World Champion Michael Elgin, Trey Miguel from The Rascalz, Madman Fulton, and Hernandez are the remaining talents confirmed.

The first round of the tournament will begin next week as Hernandez vs. Madman Fulton and Trey Miguel vs. Rohit Raju are being advertised for the upcoming episode.
