The challenger for the TNA World Heavyweight title had a star-making year in 2024. But to the 36-year-old, all of his fame and success means nothing without winning the most prestigious belt in professional wrestling. Hendry was seconds away from beating Nic Nemeth at Bound For Glory until he was screwed over by John Layfield.
Now Joe Hendry has a chance to claim a title he feels he should’ve won at Bound For Glory. However, Nic Nemeth is no slouch in the ring. The TNA World Heavyweight Champion has been in the wrestling business for over 20 years and won several world titles including the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Though his recent wins have been sketchy, Nemeth is a pro and can easily put down Hendry all on his own. Will he be able to shut down the Scottish wrestler for good?
In her first match in nearly five years, former Impact World and Knockouts Champion Tessa Blanchard fights Jordynne Grace in a grudge match. This rivalry has been heated since the beginning because the second generation star assaulted the former Knockouts Champion. Blanchard is looking to reclaim her spot that she built during her time in TNA. Grace is looking to beat the hell out of Tessa and send her far away from TNA Wrestling. Who will come out on top of this explosive encounter?
Also, Ace Austin and Moose will collide for the X-Division Championship. The current X-Division Champion goaded the 27-year-old into a match when Austin was looking at the World title. But Moose may have made a big mistake as this isn’t Ace’s first rodeo. Ace Austin has won the X-Division title three times in his career, so the TNA star knows how to get the job done. While Moose has power and size to his advantage, Austin has speed and smarts on his side. Who will leave Genesis as the X-Division Champion?
Tonight’s show is scheduled to start at 7 PM Eastern Time on TNA’s digital media channels, with the SiriusXM Busted Open cast hosting. The main card starts at 8 p.m. Below is the confirmed line-up for Genesis:
