Sami Callihan is the new Impact Wrestling Heavyweight Champion after defeating Brian Cage in a brutal steel cage match.
A very pissed off "Machine" started strong, using the cage to his advantage and beating the crap out of his opponent. However, "The Draw" is nothing if not resilient, and managed to mount a comeback which ultimately won him the title.
After busting Cage open with a baseball bat shot, Callihan continued to attack the wound before managing to hit a piledriver from the top rope for a pinfall victory. Sami didn't have long to celebrate, though, as his old friend Tessa Blanchard made her way to the ring to confront him.
It's only a matter of time before Tessa gets her chance to beat Callihan for the championship.
