The North will finally face real challengers next week.
For the past several weeks, the reigning Impact World Tag Team Champions have been fighting local competitors in Canada and it was clear that Jason Alexander and Ethan Page weren’t looking to truly challenge themselves.
On Impact, the cocky champs were bragging about their recent wins (or at least Ethan Page was) and out of nowhere, Cody Deaner showed up and challenged The North for the titles at his compound. Page laughed off Deaner as a threat; however, the duo would ultimately accept the challenge:
With Jake still in the United States, the mystery partner for Deaner is intriguing. Jason Alexander and Ethan Page have been going strong for 262 plus days, will The North finally drop the prestigious belts next week? We’ll surely find out! The Impact World Tag Team match joins the semi-final bouts of the #1 contender’s tournament, which will see Ace Austin take on Shawn Hernandez and Michael Elgin face Trey Miguel.
