Could we see new NXT Tag Team Champions?
Nathan Frazer and Axiom are in the midst of a TNA excursion as the NXT Tag Team is coming off a huge victory over The Rascalz. Frazer and Axiom have been going strong for 158 days; while there were moments of trouble within the duo, the NXT Tag Team Champions have successfully defended those belts seven times.
However, Frazer and Axiom are scheduled to fight the former TNA World Champion and his brother. Though Nic Nemeth is primarily a singles competitor, the 44-year-old is a former five time WWE tag team champion. Add in that he’ll be working with his brother Ryan Nemeth, and the stage seems set for the Nemeth Brothers to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions.
Will the former TNA World Champion bounce back from his Genesis loss quickly? Or will Axiom and Frazer continue to prove why they’re considered the best tag team on the planet?
Speaking of the TNA World Champion, Joe Hendry is fresh off his impressive Royal Rumble appearance and will bless the audience with another concert. The TNA World Champion is riding high at the moment. Could that notion come to an end on tonight’s Impact?
Also, a new number one contender for the Knockouts Championship will be crowned. The participants have yet to be confirmed, but don’t be too surprised if Cora Jade is an entrant in this match-up. Jade and Masha Slamovich have been going back and forth lately and the NXT star even cost the Knockouts Champion a match several weeks ago. Who will emerge victorious and become the new challenger for the Knockouts belt?
