Buddy Murphy Takes Roman Reigns To The Limit During Their Match On SMACKDOWN LIVE

Well, Buddy Murphy is not longer the "best kept secret" in WWE. The former Cruiserweight Champion took on Roman Reigns on SmackDown LIVE, and while he lost the match, he definitely opened a lot of eyes...

Buddy Murphy took on Roman Reigns tonight on SmackDown LIVE, and it was easily the match of the show.

The former Cruiserweight Champion used to refer to himself as the "best kept secret" in WWE, but the secret is most definitely out after his performance against The Big Dog.

Both men were very physical from the start, and Murphy actually dominated for most of the match. Towards the end, Reigns went for a Superman Punch which Buddy countered with a hard knee-strike/brainbuster combo (someone's been watching Kota Ibushi in the G1) for a near fall. However, there was no way Murphy was gonna win this one, and Roman eventually managed to hit a devastating spear for the pinfall victory.

Hopefully this will result in a push for Buddy, but WWE still seems intent on portraying him as a bit of a weaselly snitch. More on that later!
